Teas I’ve tried

from most recent to longer ago

Organic India’s Passionfruit Tulsi Tea (Feb. ‘0 8) A Nature Thyme (Syracuse) find that is disappearing quickly. This is a unique blend of fruit and black tea that is so smooth and gentle on the palate, but has a robust feel when milk is added. Tulsi, aka “Holy Basil” is considered the Queen of Herbs in India and has been used there for centuries to supplement good health.

Oolong with Mango Flowers: Jan 31/08. Tried at 2nd Storey Books in Syracuse at our Stitch n’ Bitch meeting. So tasty, and I normally don’t really like fruity teas.

Lapsang Souchong: tried in late October in Vancouver at Soma café. Bought 10 g. at TEAZ shoppe on Granville. [Mark hates this stuff.]

STEEPS Provence Rooibos: In early December at Steeps with Malani, tried, a tea with lemongrass and others. Bought some for Marla for her birthday. Very fresh and natural-tasting

STEEPS Celtic Twist: Feb. 1/05. Tried at their store on Broadway in Vancouver. A black tea with flavours of Irish Whiskey. YUM! It was raining out and this tea transported me to a cozy pub in the UK.

  1. Me again…. just had some amazing ‘Parfait d’amour” tea on the weekend - Chinese red tea infused delicately with blueberry and a hint of violet. The softest tannins I’ve ever tasted, no back palate roughness at all even without milk.

Also, T2 here makes an amazing “Creme Brulee” tea - black tea with vanilla and caramel and the Royal Chrysanthemum Bud tea is incredible too. Check out their (new annoying flash-driven) site: http://www.t2tea.com.au.
